CAPI Gears Up For AAPI Convention In 2009
The 2008 CAPI event (Central Florida Association of Physicians from the Indian subcontinent) was a big success, with a record turnout and well attended educational seminars. More than 250 doctors gathered at The Sheraton Hotel in downtown Orlando for the Annual Convention and CME conference for the physicians from the Indian subcontinent.

ISKCON Celebrates Janmashtmi!
he International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Orlando, more popularly known as “The Hare Krishnas” celebrated Tthe appearance day of Lord Krishna with great mirth and pomp. This is the first Janmashtami celebration since the temple’s inception on March 2008.
Jacksonville FL Celebrates Independence Day
Indian Independence day was celebrated in a pompous ceremony in Jacksonville FL. It was amidst a cloudy and a little drizzly afternoon on Saturday August 16, around 2:30 pm that a group of volunteers gathered at a local parking lot to decorate the trucks for the Independence Day parade. The trucks were decorated very nicely within an hour in beautiful Indian Flag colors. One of the trucks was adorned with alternating Indian and American flags all around.
